A history and a uniqueness which were sealed by the creation of the DOC in 1960 and the DOCG Vino Nobile di Montepulciano in 1980. In 1983, we fell in love with a little corner of paradise in Tuscany and with the wines of Montepulciano. The Vallocaia Estate represents a unicum of this prestigious winemaking area: it is the Nobile of today but most of all, the Nobile of what will be. From its two large glass windows, the lovely landscapes and the noble profile of Montepulciano dominate. The blood-red sunsets and the crests, that follow on from one another create a picturesque succession worthy of the brush of a Renaissance artist. Description: Tuscany igt Vinification: 80% Sangiovese, 20% Syrah Vinification: Temperature-controlled steel tanks between 14 and 16° C. Maturation and ageing: Approx. 3 months in steel tanks and 2 months in bottle Production area: Argiano and Paterno Flavours: Exuberant and complex with hints of white peach, strawberry, raspberry, cherry and fleeting floral notes of rose.
