Stock Status: Yes Per Case / Size: 750mLml Intro: Our House is located in a very famous terroir in Montagne de Reims, Verzy. This is where we have grown vines for 13 generations with passion and the wish of transmission of our know how always in mind. Our family owns vineyard in Champagne since 1633, and André Sacy, in 1962, make the decision to produce Champagne, creating at the beginning Champagne Sacy Père et Fils which will become Champagne Louis de Sacy in 1986, named after our brilliant ancestor. Then, his son, Alain Sacy, made Louis de Sacy grow in France and also developed the export that is now an important part of our business. Yaël and Jonathan Sacy, after different work experiences in France and abroad, joined the family business in 2012 to continue what has been built and develop the notoriety of the brand. Description: The Brut Originel lets easily discover its subtle aromas coming from the prolonged aging. It is exceptionally elaborated from parcels coming from 3 different terroirs. Vinification: The blend is 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Meunier. Dosage 4g/l. This is a well structured Champagne without aggressiveness with a long finish allowing all expression of the "terroir". Flavours: The Champagne displays a fluid and luminous pale yellow-gold colour, with pale yellow highlights in the glass. It is crossed by fine and vivid bubbles providing for a lingering collar. The visual sensation indicates both freshness and full of nuances. The first nose evokes frangances of honeysuckle, buttercup and acacia, with fruity notes of almond, quince, red apple. When aerated it evolves towards smells of creamy chalk, peppermint, pomelo, marmalade, clementine, pear, peach, damsons. The approach in the palate is frank and fresh with a creamy and melted effervescence. The Champagne develops pulpy and crunchy matter, sustained by an acidity reminding those of lemon and pomelo. The middle mouth is orchestrated by clayey-chalk minerality that provides fruity volume, chewy body, saltiness and a long tactile attendance time. The lemony freshness in the finish carries aromatic and tactile richness with delicacy, extending your shared pleasure. Food Pairings: Brut Originel Champagne combines greediness and freshness with refinement, ideally for friendly, festive or more gastronomical tasting. Rich pear and apricot flavors are balanced by the fresh, crisp aftertaste. The wine is rounded and ready to drink. WINE SPECTATOR score: 90/100 Aromatic, with smoke, ripe damson plum and blackberry notes riding the creamy mousse, layered with accents of lightly charred toast, golden raisin and roasted nut. Tangy finish. |
