Intro: Davis Estates is a family owned and operated boutique estate located in Calistoga, Napa Valley. In 2011, Mike and Sandy Davis purchased the century-old estate winery and began their ambitious restoration project to create a distinguished winery. Mike and Sandy are intricately involved in the fabric of day-to-day operations and, together with their world-class team, are committed to building a sustainable property while crafting premiere Napa Valley wines to be enjoyed today and for generations to come.
Davis Estates includes four estate vineyards in Calistoga, Rutherford, Howell Mountain and Carneros in a variety of rich alluvial, hambrich, volcanic rhyolite pale clay and boomer loam soils. The well-draining soils, vast elevation gains and micro-climates produce phenomenal fruit with a robust range of taste profiles.

Review: ROBERT PARKER: 92 points
Sweet black cherry, cedar wood, Christmas fruitcake and backing spices are all present in this dense, rich, lovely wine, with sweet tannin, low acidity and a heady, corpulent and hedonistic style. Drink it over the next decade.
WINE SPECTATOR: 90 points
A solid, chunky, tannic style for now, with roasted coffee, dried herb, extracted dark berry and crushed rock flavors, ending with ripe tannins that give the flavors traction. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2016 through 2028. 599 cases made.
