Intro: Welcome to Klinker Brick Winery, Award-winning producer of Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi. Great wine begins with a suitable climate and soil, both of which are found in Lodi. Sandy Loam soil coupled with the hot, cold exchange that graces Lodi from day to night creates a utopic environment to cultivate warm-weather varietals including Zinfandel, Cabernet and Syrah.

Description: The Old Ghost represents the best zinfandel that Klinker Brick produces each year. Smaller berries harvested from this vineyard block, tend to offer more “skin to flesh”, providing a greater level of smooth yet firm tannin and structure to this wine.

Flavours: An intense nose of spice, chocolate and botanicals lead to full-bodied flavors of juicy pomegranate and ripe cherry layered with dried herbs. True to the Klinker Brick style, this wine is bursting with acidity and concentrated notes of dark berries and tobacco. Layers of complexity lead to a core of medium tannins with a long, richly textured finish.

Food Pairings: Pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables and charcuterie.
