Intro: Nino Franco was founded in 1919 by Antonio Franco in Valdobbiadene. The winery is located at the foot of the Prealps, in the Venetian region and proud to be one of the oldest wineries in Valdobbiadene. Known for their Prosecco vine, the estate has been growing and evolving throughout four generations of producers. Antonio founded it, Nino expanded it, Primo improved international distribution and today, Silvia Franco is the future of the brand.

Description: The grapes, 100% Glera (traditionally called Prosecco) are sourced exclusively from ancient origin vineyard, named "Grave di Stecca", a clos on the slopes of the Prealpi, just near the town center. The vineyard, exposed to the south and partly screened by a huge park, enjoys a particular micro-climate.

Vinification: Brut - Charmat method - Obtained by the second fermentation in “cuve close”.

Flavours: Delicious sage bouquet, with fresh fruit scents. A very pleasant dry taste at the beginning, followed by a growing silky fruit bouquet.

Food Pairings: Perfect as an aperitif, but also suitable throughout the meal. Certainly a Brut to be enjoyed. Serving Temperature: 6° - 8° C.

Review: WINE ENTHUSIAST Score: 93/100 Cellar Selection - 2012 vintage
Made with 100% Glera grown inside a walled vineyard, this stunning wine boasts unusual depth and structure. It delivers aromas and flavors of ripe yellow apple, pear, lemon drop, chopped sage and a ginger note while the foaming, silky mousse lends it a creamy, elegant texture. A recent vertical tasting back to 2007 proves this wine can develop more complexity after several years in the cellar.
